I am completely exhausted.  I don't think I'm sick, but I have absolutely no energy today.

You did a lot the last couple of days.  Enjoy a good rest.

Well, not gonna be here at eleven - while I was doing a phone update they called and said they didn't have the battery in stock.  That's because the gal called the same person as last night and I'd told her already those folks didn't have it.  So, now they have to do what they should have done originally - call around and find it and THEN send someone - so I didn't have to get up when I got up and I'm sure they'll now tell me it will be after noon IF they find the battery.  The problem, of course, is that many stupid people in LA never bothered to start their cars during the stay at home, so there were a lot of dead batteries and probably a run on them now that they can drive places.  They should be calling back shortly.

Good luck it doesn't take them long.

I saw my audiologist today.  He was wearing a mask with a see through mouth section for the hearing impaired.  He gave me a couple.

He replaced some parts on my hearing aids improving the sound, and then did something to boost the sound.  Now everything sounds different.  I need to get used to the new sound.  So far I think I hear better.

I mustered myself into some action and fed the cats.  They are happy, and I am going to lie down for a bit.

I didn't get all that much done today, so tomorrow I've got to be ready to hit the ground running.

For now, I need to decide on something good to watch tonight. I'd like to strike two movies off my backlog, so they can't be anything too long.

I'm glad you are safe at home while you wait for the battery, BK. A couple years ago, I was ready to leave the church when one of our members who was probably 93 (she's 100 now) had a dead battery. In Phoenix. In July. It was probably 115 degrees. I waited with her inside until AAA came. She's actually lucky I was still there.

I have had to wait on the side of the freeway for a tow when I had a tire blow out. That was scary.

Do you have to install a Walmart battery yourself? Or do some Walmarts have an auto service area?

This Walmart had auto service.

Went to the library. The book return slots were open, so I got rid of the three items that have been in my car for months.

I had to phone them and give them my library card number, which I have memorized. They brought everything yo s table out front and left it there.

The librarian I dealt with has had a long career with the San Antonio Public Library system. She told me she didn’t know if the library would ever reopen for browsing. That can all be done online.

I did get some fun stuff including a Brian DePalma novel called Are Snakes Necessary? It has a lurid pulp cover to it.

I bought a one year battery at WalMart - and they installed it.

And thirteen months later it died......on the button.....

I got my new one at Car X - and it has a five year replacement warranty.

My brother had told me there was no such thing as a one year battery.....then he went to WalMart to get one.....and it had a one year warranty.....I just said.....yea.....I know....  Or something like that.

Were you the last person out of the church?  Thank goodness you were there to help her.

I would find it scary to wait on the side of the freeway for a tow.

I officially gave up on Tommy and Tuppence and Partners In Crime.  I loved Francesca Annis and James Wainwright, but the mysteries were slim and very twee.  The costumes were fantastic.  I'm back to Miss Marple tonight.

No, it can't all be done online...that's just propaganda!  There are services that our library provides that also can't be easily done online.  We're a library that serves mostly rural, mostly low income patrons, so not everyone here even has access to the Internet, let alone high speed Internet.  We WILL eventually open back up to public browsing and access. :-\
