Drove to Barone's and got their tiny little round pepperoni pizza, just enough for one person, and some antipasto salad.  I polished off the tiny pizza thing quickly and am working on the antipasto whilst listening to the Bach Brandenburg Concertos courtesy of Mr. Munch.

Watched a weird movie called Devil and the Deep with Tallulah, Charles Laughton, Gary Cooper and Cary Grant. Except for the performers, the movie, which had to do with an insanely jealous submarine captain and his long-suffering wife, the movie was largely laughable.

It was one of the flicks that showed up at the library. I've got another one of those on, a 1967 comedy called the Honey Pot with Rex Harrison, Maggie Smith, Susan Hayward, Cliff Robertson, Edie Adams and more. It feels too long and isn't very funny so far.

But I'm leaving soon for Austin and dinner with a friend who's only in for the night.

I had no idea.  FB friends in both the UK mentioned our cell phones now have a covid-19 notifications tracking option.  I am fine with being notified. It seems we need to set up a participating app for this to work.  Now to figure that out.  Keith said first our county has to offer the app.

And now, I'm off.  My mom called, asking if I could get some sodas to bring in addition to the mini cheesecakes.  She said that Fred Meyer is having a sale, so if there's anything in stock at FM, I'll get some, then head to my parents' house.  If the Tumwater FM doesn't have any (or enough), I can stop at the Lacey store, which is also on the way.

Be back later.

DR JANE it's my niece's husband in the hospital....so I guess he is my nephew-in-law.....

We are getting good reports and he has posted a couple of pictures and he looks good.

My niece was able to go into the room with him today....and maybe both she and my sister can go in tomorrow.

Some Miami University theatre students are having a Zoom meeting tonight.  I hope I can participate.  This Zoom madness is very new to me.

We were pleasantly surprised this morning that the beautiful day did not bring the crowds to our walking path.  We were not so lucky this afternoon and had to change our direction and were limited to an unexciting walk.

Before our favorite regular waitress at Beaches went on maternity leave we became FB friends.  Not only was it nice to be able to keep in touch with her it linked us to our favorite 1st waitress ever there.  We have just used messenger to keep in touch her.

Through this 1st waitress we got the email address of the couple we regularly talked to and gave treats to the woman's seeing eye dog.  Another connection to keep in touch with people you are used to seeing on a regular basis and then suddenly don't.

Jane, I carry a mask in my pocket when I take my daily walk. There are very few people out at 5 a.m. But there's lots of room to walk around each other. Sandra and I have both been wearing masks in the car. On the rare occasion I go into a store, I wear a mask. I wore a mask when we went to the zoo for an hour.

Some people wear them, some don't. I have never had anyone make any comment about my wearing one.

Yesterday our governor gave the mayors permission to make a decision. Earlier he had not allowed them to have any say. The mayor of my city made it mandatory. We'll see what happens.

My sister has sent two packages of masks. She said she's making lots of them and that she will keep making them because she expects we'll need them a long time and we will wear them out with repeated washing.
