Yes DR ELMORE - your cards let us know that someone in charge needs to clear an obstacle in the way - and this obstacle might even be another person. And it may be that ONLY ONE PERSON needs to be in charge.

I received my NY State PUA, but not the Federal Govt. PUA. According to pone of the FB PUA sites, the problem was a computer glitch and should arrive tomorrow.

Stella has abandoned the bathroom sink to sleep in the broken silverware drawer. Thatch is fascinated by the whole thing - i saw him checking out the broken chest of drawers earlier - but he hasn't risked scaling the fortress to the silverware drawer.

Cornelia Otis Skinner's Elegant Wits and Grand Horizontals is one of my favorite social histories, and I recommend it highly.

Is this the Anne de Courcy book? It sounds very interesting.

Yes. And I’m getting a kick out of it. Having some factual background of the era makes Wharton that much more enjoyable.

I think you'll like it. She's a wonderful writer. I loved her biography of Sarah Bernhardt, Madame Sarah, as well as Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, which she co-wrote with Emily Kimbrough. It's been an open secret for years that Arsenic and Old Lace had a major overhaul and rewrite by Lindsay and Crouse before they produced it on Broadway. I think Cornelia Otis Skinner officially confirmed it in her book Life with Lindsay and Crouse, ehich os really fun.
