Went to the grocery store. Seems strange to buy a few things for a week to go. I ended up a rotisserie chicken for dinner. But I don't really feel like eating yet. Too hot.

My brother got a voicemail that was delivered as a beta text.  When he read it, it said:

Hi, Mike. Sorry I haven't talked to you.  Just wanted to know how everything is going. I'll try again later.  Dad

And of course our father died in September, 2015.....

He erased the beta mail.....so there you are.  Some people think it is a fishing email.....but his account is in his real first name - Paul....his middle name is Michael....

So there you are.....I am thinking I may see if there is a way to retrieve the message, but I am not obsessed with doing so.

I'm listening to Barbara Cook at Carnegie Hall.  I had never heard the recording, so when it was mentioned last week, I bought it.  I love it!

I love that piece. The only time I ever saw Bernstein conduct live, he conducted that piece at Tanglewood. Turned out to be his last concert. And I treasure the live recording that was made of it and the Britten Sea Scapes from Peter Grimes.

Starting to watch This Is the Night, supposedly Cary Grant's first film. It's a pre-code comedy that begins with the musical number Madame Has Lost Her Dress.

The finessing the last two tracks got pushed to tonight - not happy about it - this should have all been done by yesterday.

DR George last summer my phone shut down while I was swimming.   The sun had moved and it was no longer in the shade.

It's a safety feature that's more than likely a good thing.

I think so as my phone was almost too hot to touch.

I wonder if I will swim this year.  We have new umbrellas for more shade but the pool is still closed.

Meanwhile, the speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives and 4 others were arrested yesterday on Federal bribery charges.  I will not be surprised if our representative and neighbor  :P is mixed up in this mess.

Yes, for the sandwich.  Something clearly went wrong - first the weird text, then one person was supposedly at the restaurant, then that name changed, and finally they cancelled.  Of course, the dough is out of my PayPal account for three days at which time the authorization will fall off.  They did give me a five-dollar credit.  I had Granville mac-and-cheese with chicken instead - very good.

I hope you can use the credit for something good.

Such a handsome fellow Poe was. He looks like Leonard. It's so hard going on without them. Hugs.

I spent the day up north. It was nice to get out for a while. I caught a mess of crayfish and gave them to a family who was camping by the creek.

I need to head home, but first, I'll stop at Costco for a couple of things.  We'll see if I stop at a couple. ;)

Until later!
