Well,  you've read the notes, the notes were unmasked, and now it is time for you to post until the unmasked cows come home.

To finish up my wallet story from last night (you know where this is going):

So, I put all my cards and my money in my new wallet and it all kind of fits (all the slots are just the tiniest bit too small :P ), but the real problem is, is that the new wallet can't really close! :o If I actually squeeze it all together, the cards in the left hand slots (when it's open) bend near the center and will eventually crack and break.  That's not good at all.  So, I put everything all back in my previous wallet and just deal with having cards where cards shouldn't be.

That's a shame you can't use your new wallet. Can you return it?

No, I used it for a few days and it's all stretched out, but not enough to make room for the extra cards not to break.  It was only $10, so not a great loss.

Around 9:30 last night, with all the thunder, I thought we were in for a big night of storms, but I see from DR vixmom's late night post that it did not last long.  Supposedly between 2:30 and 4:00 this afternoon we are in for a Big Tropcal Storm.  I am very happy I'm staying in.

This morning I need to drag out the Big Ladder and bring down some cat food.  Yesterday I served Friskies Salmon & Beef for dinner, and all three cats turned it down.  Stella at least tried it before rejecting it, but Annabelle and Thatch refused to go near it.  So, I pitched it, washed their dishes, and gave them Fancy Feast salmon, which they all ate.

My only other plans for today are to work on my book for a bit and nap with the cats.

I am pleased to announce that an audio edition of my first novel, NOBODY DROWNS IN MINERAL LAKE (1999), is finally available for download via audible.com, Amazon or iTunes.

"Mineral Lake" is, of course, a pseudonym for SOAP LAKE, WA, where I spent many summers during the early years of my life.

The novel of suspense, read by Chip Dolan, is the story of a homecoming that quickly develops into your worst nightmare.

"A fascinating tale based on a true story." -- John Austin, Book of the Week.

The novel is also available in paperback and Kindle editions.

Is an AFICIONADO something like a SHARKNADO?

I looked at the TCM lineup one more time at about 1 a.m. and finally figured out that the star of the day today is S.Z. Sakall.

When I pulled the bed out to make it, I discovered that pica-cat Stella managed to access the roll of paper towels I keep close to my bed for things like Thatch's hairball last night.  The roll was completely shredded, so along with getting the Big Ladder and pulling cat food I had to pull the vacuum out, dump what paper I could into a waste bin, and vacuum.  So much for an easy morning.

My next project is to sort cat food and put them into the cats' food cartons.  I doubt I'll get to "the book" today.

Off the top of my head (which doesn't hold all that much, as you might imagine), the only times I've called someone out for bad behavior would have been at a movie theater -- and though I'm no Patti LuPone, probably at a live performance or two as well. This would be for loud talking or for bright cell phone screens being on. And it wouldn't have been where I'd be putting myself in a direct confrontation with the perp.

As much as I hate to admit it, I wouldn't be any more inclined than anyone else to confront someone who's violating any of today's hot issues. Depending on the circumstances, I'd probably try to find proper help, but I draw the line at putting myself in the line of fire.

Facebook started doing this latest in a series of hateful things a couple of days ago (on the desktop/browser version, not the app, which I don't use):

I'll be scrolling down some page (usually my news feed), and if I click on a "Like" or on some other kind of link, it pops me back up to the top of the page and, of course, refreshes it so I lose wherever the HELL I was. The "Like" takes effect, but I'd have to go looking for that post if I needed to see it again. I'm curious as to whether it's "just me" or if anyone else has experienced this.

Bruce did you know that Karen Bass, on Biden's short list, graduated from Hami?  Of course a bit after we graduated.
