I ran all my errands and was delighted to get home without falling over or dropping dead in the streets. I have to say, since my mobility has made me primarily a taxi rider, I have had some of the nicest and most helpful taxi drivers.

The new tracks are wonderful.

I first A/B'ed "Simply", then "This Christmas", to get an immediate sense of the difference on these individual numbers. Then I played through "It Must Be Fun", first the album and then the new tracks, all LOUD, uncompressed, on the MacBook through a Focusrite audio interface into the M-Audio BX5 monitors that serve me well. (Details provided for the reading pleasure of geeks everywhere, you know who you are.)

The tracks are beautiful. But don't think for one minute that the CDs sound like second class citizens, because they're still marvelous compared to so much that's out there. That doesn't change. The overall sound of the remastered tracks is simply (see what I did there?) remarkable.
