I just succeeded in doing this. You need to download ClipGrab, which is free. Find the video on FB you want to save and click on it. When it comes up in a new window, drag the URL link to your ClipGrab icon. You will get a notice "Grab This Clip." Click on it and you're on your way. Thr video should download to your Download files.

Another vote for ClipGrab. Now and then you get update notices, but they really do improve the interface.

I thought it downloaded things as MP3's - music files - but not video files......that's all I use it for.....to turn YT vids into MP3 files.

Right-click on the Facebook video and click "Show video URL," and copy that. Then search the interwebs for "facebook online video downloader" and pick one of the several top online downloaders, paste the URL into the search box, then download...maybe. Some videos are private and can't be downloaded, but others sometimes don't work with every downloader website, so try several. Good luck!

I don't hate the look of it but I prefer the old. It could just be I am not big on change. Also it takes more steps to open things such as events and memories.

I try to be respectful of other people's opinions and be thoughtful about their reasons. I don't need to agree at the end of the day.

You can do the same thing by simply dragging the mp4s into iTunes and doing it there - no extra things needed and takes mere moments.

Of course you've heard about it because I've written about it here several times. It's reliable, easy, and great - I only occasionally save videos with it, mostly audio files.
