DR JENNIFER I couldn't get to the posts that folks had written for me today.....I kept getting notifications of posts from this person or that and yet when I went to my posts none of them were there....when I switched back to the old interface - most of them could be found.

And it doesn't seem as organized as the old one - everything seems to be right there and mushed up together as opposed to being in their own little corner of the world.

I am sure I will get used to it.....in time.

I don't usually watch the conventions. I already know who I plan to vote for and don't need a convention to convince me. I happened to see a few snippets of the Republican convention on PBS and was appalled at the things that were said. Completely untrue! Such distortion! There once was a time when Democrats and Republicans could discuss policies with some objectivity, but not this year!

I had heard the name Kimberly Guilfoyle recently, but didn't know who she was. I was SHOCKED to learn that she is Don Trump Jr's girlfriend AND Gov Gavin Newsome's ex-wife. They were referred to as the "new Kennedys" at one time. I still can't get over that.

I've been trying to catch up on some tax stuff. Getting there. I don't have as much patience with tedious detail as I used to. I'm having to look a number of things up, too, due to the new tax laws. But getting there.

Thanks Jeanne. Keith & I felt the same way and it gave us hope. We have seen similar voices on the internet but none as eloquent as his.

Yes, I don't know what exactly is getting TCB down, but we all now have an extra layer of stress in our lives due to Covid. There is no end of upsetting stuff.

To answer DR Jennifer's question about how the US is dealing with schools, it depends on where you are. In California, the number of cases have dropped for the last two weeks, but I don't know if that's true in LA as well. There are some areas that are keen to reopen, but many teachers are opposed. When we reopened restaurants, the number of cases shot up, so they were closed again. (We're now allow outside dining only, plus take-out and delivery.) That scenario was repeated with many of the school reopenings throughout the country. I suspect that those areas that have low case counts, which are largely rural areas, will be able to reopen and stay open, but one superspreader event could change that.

They've dropped for the last three weeks and it's true for LA as well as the rest of the State. Not that you'd EVER know that on Facebook because why share GOOD news. Even Orange County is off the watch list. Newsom has said we are now well below the minimum for opening up stuff and he said yesterday that he'll have news about that soon.
