It's a miracle day, I tell you! Annabelle actually wanted to eat dinner tonight with Thatch and Stella.  Usually, by the time I coax her into eating, Stella's eaten Annabelle's dish as well, and she's left hitting up all three dishes for leftovers.

Thatch has been trying out the cat cave to see how he likes it.  Stella and Annabelle seem to love it.

I should have gone poking through the groceries I found outside at 11:45.  After I noticed they were still there I discovered ice cream and figured I had better find out who forgot to collect them.  On my third try I found the neighbor they belong too.  She had not received, or missed, a notification from Fred Meyer that they were delivered.

That Wherehouse in Torrance was also where I bought my first CD — Sunday in the Park With George. I had just acquired a player (again, on one of those special deals at Rogersound), and though I’d also just bought Sunday on LP, I was excited to find an additional track or two on the CD, and a couple of reviews of that release pushed me over the edge.

My first CD was the James Levine/June Anderson recording of Carmina Burana.  I bought it in either 1987 or 1988...four years before I owned my own CD player. ;)

Side note: my dad grew up in Torrance. :)

Three hours of sleep - can't sleep, can't get comfortable, dream the same scene over and over and cannot stand this pain anymore.  I obviously pulled something or pinched a nerve in my lower back so that it goes right down my leg from there and no matter how I turn or position myself, I can't avoid it.  I have too damn much to do to be dealing with this on top of everything else.  Sorry for the rant, but I've just about had it.

Oh, no!

I liked the doggie in the rain.

There are some photos from the baby shower but they are on the Evite site and I can't download them.....

I now feel as though I know Mr. Lamb even better than I know myself....if that's possible.

His life is an open book.....I must say I was pleased that the director had something to do and told me that Fezziwig was 'fine."

My new "green screen" was a disaster so back to the drawing board.

My first CD, I believe, was Dvorak's wonderful Slavonic Dances.  I bought the CD player at a store on 92nd and Broadway, which is now the Petco where I adopted Thatch in 2017.  I walked down Broadway with the carton under my arm, walked into a CD store around 85th and Broadway, picked up the CD, walked home, set up the player, and listened to Dvorak.

I know our first dvd was Much Ado About Nothing, but it was a Christmas gift  along with the dvd player

Waiting for food.  I did get a good bit of work done today.  But the tree people were supposed to be here but of course aren't, so now they're coming tomorrow morning at seven-thirty.  I'm sure that will be nice and quiet - not.  So, I guess I'm in for another not enough sleep day.

My tree people did their work well; the tree did not fall on me. It turns out they weren't taking the whole tree, just some large branches.

Good Evening (!!)  Today has been a day.  We were all ready to welcome Kindergarten back to campus tomorrow when the county decided to change the cohort number to no more than 20.  Originally, we could have as many as we could fit social distanced apart - and kindergarten fit nicely in the gym.  Well, not anymore.  So, we split them up into 2 classrooms.  I worked on the tech so they'll be able to communicate with each other, etc... and taught 3 classes .... so it's been a day.  While I'm home now, I still have work to do for tomorrow - and need to be on campus at 7:00am tomorrow (the normal time I'd be getting out of the shower in the morning).  I did put the deposit down on the apartment, so I'm set for that.

And these are the days of our lives.

When you are too distracted to order a gift before a birthday you ask the 6 year old what she wanted and didn't get.  I might do this every year from now on.  I was a bit surprised she wanted a removed control car.  Her mother & I went girlie for this one.
