Vibes for DR TCB and his digit.

Very interesting to hear from Dr Tom about the nerve endings in the fingers and toes.  And I learned it here!

Roland Dupree is very funny in the Shirley Temple movie MISS ANNIE ROONEY and he dances up a storm.

And of course on YouTube you can find him in some of the videos of The Jacks and Jills.....along with Peggy Garner and Donald O'Conner......

I really enjoyed The Amazing Race last night - there are a couple of teams that already annoy me.  And I have a few that I like a lot.

Of course that could all change during the course of the race.

I have taken/given MANY dance lessons to people of all ages.  I have choreographed many shows and numbers.

I started at my cousin's dance studio when I was 10.....she taught me everything she knew.

I went to a few other teachers and then studied on the college level.  I was never going to be a GREAT dancer.....but I learned all I could and I keep learning.  Now and then I return to the studio at DePauw to refresh this and that.

Since my surgery, my flexibility is ZERO....but I still enjoy dancing.

I like couples dancing, but the real ballroom dancing is difficult for me.....I am not good at attitudes and poses and perfect form.....I would NEVER get good scores there.

Tap dancing is exhausting, but I love it.

DR George - we tried Phase 10 again last night.  This time it went much, much better. But we found a need to go to bed before we had finished the last 3 phases.

Good morning!

I took 2 tap classes about 30 years ago, that's about it.  I remember some.  I've also choreographed little things here and there.  You could always spot one of my numbers from the penguin step I was quite fond of.

DR TCB - healing vibes for your finger.

Last night, I couldn't sleep as I was trying to visualize how I would put my furniture in the new apartment.  While I have more space, I don't have "more space" as I basically have 1 wall to put the TV stand and my cubby-hole bookcase on it.  There is a little wall area for the piano, and no room for a desk.  It's tough when you haven't really been in the physical space, but the virtual tour and room dimensions help a lot.   I'm sure it will all be fine.

I just had a nice report from the Philly Pops conductor about the orchestration, along with a few questions about bass and guitar where I was sloppy and vague (curse these conductors who are thorough!).  I have now resolved those issues.

TOD I, too, took classes with Roland Dupree.  Annette Cardona took me to his studio.  I took two beginning jazz classes before he asked to see me.  I thought he was going to tell me I was terrible and not to come back.  Turns out he told me to come to the intermediate classes
instead.

Great story Jan.

I have taken years of ballroom lessons and more than year of tap. I wonder if I’ll remember any of it when I can dance again. I really miss it.
