Well, the building finally closed the outdoor pool yesterday. It was time. It's 42 this morning.

Sunday morning greetings!

I had an extended dream last night of the classic "unprepared" variety: I was going on with a symphony orchestra. I didn't have the proper concert attire and also had lost my music...

I had a similar dream, but it involved one of my ladies' groups meeting in person in our home.  I was trying out different tablecloths and welcoming some members and the speaker.  We eventually realized that it was a Zoom meeting and we were missing it and virtual attendees were missing the speaker.  And one of my favorite tablecloths had a big hole in it!

It's a gray day here.

Continuing with my presentation project, and will have to rely on DRs to brighten the day.

Thanks, DR John G., and I'm sorry to read your news.  I know how terribly uncomfortable that can be.

Do you have any old pain meds left over that can tide you through?

Sorry about your scare, DR John G.  Glad that the owner has their dog so well-trained.

I have never personally been attacked, but dogs I have been walking have been attacked by loose dogs. It is a scary experience.

I have been attacked, or they were after my dog, not always sure.  I have screamed and DR John, you never really get over it.

I was terrified of large dogs when I was young.  The fear began when I would walk our little dog and big dogs would come chasing after our dog who then ran in-between my legs leaving me to face the dog.  I was small and they were almost as big as I was.

Now I also worry dogs will knock me over playing.

Yesterday a little dog barked at me and went around behind me as I walked.  Usually when that happens I just pause to see what the dog will do and then begin walking again.   As I walked away the owner said the dog just hadn't received enough love for the day.  I stopped, called the dog, and oh my the sounds that came out of him as he ran for pets.  He sounded like a cross between a growl  and a purr.

I have these regularly. Have had hundreds of them. I don't think this is one that will land me in the hospital.

Woke up from my nap to texts that Mom is in the hospital. They don't know yet what happened, but she may have had a mini-stroke, which they're looking into and which may have caused her to fall. She complained of rib pain, so they're checking that out as well.

The first time was when I was 5 or 6, and a German shepherd up the street decided he didn't like me. I was attacked by a Spitz when I was an adult. There was a third time, which I have successfully blotted out, except for the number.

Walking a big dog around scared people is frustrating because too many other people don't respect their feelings.  If my dog was off leash I called the dog back until I knew a walker was ok with it.  The same goes for other walkers with their dogs on a leash.  I would get my dog back on the leash.

A few times Sherlock got away from me and ran up to a little dog on a leash.  Instead of yelling my dog is harmless, which people don't believe anyway, I yelled don't worry even if your dog attacks him he won't fight back.  Not only did the people appreciate what I yelled they were amazed how good their normally frightened or aggressive little dog was was with Sherlock. :)
The others thanked Sherlock for not attacking back at the aggressive dog.
