I need to tell you all that I will be even more E & T than usual this coming weekend.  It's nothing bad and I'll tell you all about it Monday evening or Tuesday at the latest.

No answer from the doctor. The X-ray didn’t show anything. So, I have a new prescription and go back in two weeks.

So, DR John G. - what are you supposed to do about the pain and discomfort?

So my latest blood labs showed a severe iron deficiency (who knew?) and the doctor asked me to take a normal over-the-counter iron supplement. I went to the pharmacy and got what they had. Then I looked at the dosages. To take what the doctor wants, I'd have to take TWELVE of these buggers every day.  TWELVE!  That seems crazy to me. I've ordered the correct 1-pill per day dosage online. I'm not going to be able to go near anything metal, I think.

It has been so long since I've made cookies that I forgot how to make the royal icing. This batch will be challenging; the icing keeps clogging the piping tip. The ones I give on Halloween to the children I know will be better.

Just got the results of my urine analysis. I need to make a lot of changes to get my body to stop producing kidney stones and bladder stones. Yikes.

Today I am making sugar cookies to send with my daughter to work tomorrow. One of her coworkers has a child with peanut allergies. So most of his Halloween candy has to be confiscated. So I send cookies so he will have a treat.

It's a mom thing to do.

That is thoughtful of you.

Ten minutes before I was going to do what I put off yesterday - make tracks of all this music I've been doing - the doorbell rang.  I thought about not answering but I did - a tree guy saying they had to trim the trees back from the power line.  I just went off on him, I'm afraid, saying it was the fourth time in two weeks they've disrupted my life and I was tired of it - that I needed a day's notice if they're ever to come back and what were they doing two weeks ago when they trimmed away from the power line.  No answer of course.  So, I started doing what I needed to do and got through about fifty minutes when they turned on that confounded loud machine that makes powder out of all the branches they've trimmed.  So, I had to stop and wait - fortunately, it looked like they trimmed all of six branches, so they finished and finally left and I finished my stuff.

It was two-fifteen by then, so I drove over to Jerry's - jammed - what else is new?  All these jerks who haven't been there in years show up for a last meal.  They don't care, they don't support - it was the same way at Corky's when it closed.  Even the takeout counter had a line out the door.  Where were these morons when Jerry's needed them?  WHERE?  I had my chili, cheese, and onion hot dog and fries - I just had to.  It was great.

Are they sure of what causes yours? there are six or seven different types of kidney stones. Not a one size fits all.

I got a tetanus shot in one arm and a shingles shot in the other. Both arms are very sore and fight back if I try to raise them.

Is that the first or the second shingles shot?

Robert Mitchum
Rachel and the Stranger
Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison

Too often I am not a fan of Mitchum.  I need to watch The Yakuza and see what I think of his performance.

I am sorry to read the Daily Grill closed. Though I was sorry a long time ago when they closed the one in Brentwood.  I used to eat there with my brother.

Two very painful vaccinations at once.  Try icing your arms.
