So great to see photos of Mr. Thatch!

It's chaos here this morning. The three babies are planning their Halloween costumes so they can go Trick or Kibble-ing around the building.

No one has ever told me that I have cute feet.       ;D

It was my socks.

I loved 10 and am trying to recall where it opened. I think I went to Westwood, so was it at the Village? Maybe the Avco? I can’t pin it down. The next place I saw it was a couple of months later at a very nice neighborhood theater in Miami Beach during the few months I was tooling around on my friends’ sailboat.

Some years later I caught a little bit of it on TV and couldn’t stand the lousy presentation, and I never acquired it on home video. I’ll have to get the Blu-ray.

It was the experience of seeing this film in a packed theater that turned the lightbulb on in my head as to Blake Edwards’ genius in editing, timing every moment to perfection, the result being literal explosions of laughter with just the right amount of time for it to dissipate. (Exhibit A: the moment with the minister’s dog.) Since then I’ve savored that brilliance in all of his films.

I've always loved this photo of Thatch that DR ChasSmith took because his eyes are so beautiful.

Kitty cleanup is over.  I needed some Gorilla Glue this morning, and I find I have none.  I don't know why I simply don't order a new tube when the one I have gets opened. It's irritating.  This is vexing, Annabelle would say.

After her sterling version of Tarzan, 10 was too much.

We're getting another day of rain from the hurricane.  I am so happy I do not have to step out this morning,

We’re getting a bit of snow — YES! SNOW!! — mixed in with the rain here. God willing, it won’t be enough to cause tree branches to start coming down since most of the leaves are still on the trees. And also that the precip will have stopped well before tonight when it goes down to freezing. Otherwise, in the worst possible case, this could end up being the third Halloween disaster in the past nine years — the other two being the Nor’easter in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Talk about a double whammy. That’s what precipitated my getting the generator.

Sleep was difficult. I kept rolling onto either arm.

Along with DR TCB, I had no discernable reaction to my shingles shots.  Lucky, I guess.  Sorry for your discomfort, DR John G.

My arm was sore after the shingles shot. But it was the achiness and fatigue that I felt mostly. It wasn't really bad, but I'm glad I didn't have to go to work. I just felt crummy.

Back in January one of our cast members got the shingles shots, and the day after the second one, she was dragging her ASS. She very nearly didn’t come to rehearsal that evening, but she isn’t that type so she was there. But man, she was dragging her ASS. Next day, she was fine.

Cowboy Thatch photos are indeed charming.

And yes DR LAURA's cookie avatar is most excellent.

I think MR BK should have added to his conversation with the Tree Men:

Last night I could find nothing on television I wanted to watch.

I finally tuned in to see Fresno play Colorado State in a football game.  It was about as you might expect.

The sound stopped working on the TV yesterday. The DH got out his tools and took the dang thing apart, with me fretting in the background that it was ruined and would never go together again.

Well, darned if, once re-assembled, the thing worked again! It must have been that the circuit board just needed a little jostling.

Color me impressed.
