elmore - I eventually did record it for The Stephen Sondheim Album, which I think David Siegel did.  Sung by Andrew Lippa and Theresa Finamore.

Three years ago today I rode the No. 1 subway to the northern parts of Manhattan to pick up my newly adopted 3-month old baby, and after two months of hell with his health, I seriously debated giving him up.  He clearly adored Annabelle and very clearly disliked me, but a very wise DR advised patience. Thank you, DR Laura.

Happy Anniversary, Thatch! Daddy loves you.

Happy Gotcha Day Anniversary to Larry and Thatch!! :D

Back from a good lunch at Hugo's - pasta papa, of course - and we've had our work session, which only took forty minutes.  Now I'll mosey on over to the mail place.

Ingrained in my brain:

Daffy Duck as a train conductor hollering:

"Ta-rain leaving on ta-rack Ni-ane for Anaheim, Azusa, and CUC-monga."

And Porky Pig finally getting a room in a crowded hotel only to have Daffy come in a few hours later with Harry - a six foot invisible kangaroo......"Wouldn't you know it.....when you gotta get up, you gotta get up.....the bed's too low."  And turn the crank on the bed like a Model-T.

And Bugs Bunny putting his hands over Elmer Fudd's eyes.

Bugs:  Guess who.
Elmer: Wosemawwy Wane?
Bugs: Nope.
Elmer: Ann Shewwidan?
Bugs: Uh-uh.
Elmer: Owivia deHaviwwand?
Bugs: No....but you're getting warmer.....

Interesting astrological doings:

Did you just feel the tension increase? Today’s Venus-Mars opposition can heat things up between you and someone you’re attracted to, or it can cause you to act aggressively toward a competitor or rival. But no matter who you’re interacting with, be careful not to deal with people too assertively or make decisions too spontaneously, because erratic behavior will only make things worse.

Luckily, Venus in Libra’s fair-mindedness combined with Mars retrograde (even though it’s paired with fiery Aries) can help keep you calm when it comes to your relationships. No matter who you’re dealing with today, it’s best to keep other people’s perspectives in mind. Incompatibility comes in all forms, but finding alternate ways to deal with it is one of your strengths now.

Back from the mail place.  Now listening to a little music before I settle in and listen to a new master and then watch auditions, although I actually think we're pretty much cast now.

Finishing up The Prom. It’s far from perfect, but it’s very enjoyable. Meryl Streep is going to chew the scenery with glee.

So, the version of The Prom I posted last night was the out-of-town tryout. This is the last Broadway performance.
