I got a record player for my 12th birthday.....and proceeded to buy many 45 rpm records. I also bought an album now and then. Of course my record player didn't know the difference between a mono recording and a stereo recording.

I had a few albums - probably the first STEREO LP I purchased was one from The Kirby Stone Four.....which was wonderful. I thought it was the height of sophistication!

My record player had a flip stylus and you could flip it to play stereo albums even though the sound wasn't stereo.......

Our first family stereo was a tv/phono/radio combination.

It was great, but you couldn't play records if somebody wanted to watch TV.

Probably Johnny Mathis and South Pacific (movie) and Bye Bye Birdie (Cast album) were our first stereo LPs. My parents were big country music fans....so that's mostly what we had....album wise.

I thought I had a recording of the Kirby Stone Four singing the score of Tenderloin, including a few cut numbers, as I recall, but I can find no record that such a recording existed. I also had a recording of The Pastors singing Tenderloin as well/

We are having our AC replaced. Because the new units are larger than the old ones, it has to go on the roof instead of the ground.

I saw a atory on old-fashioned candies that are still available. You can get ribbon candy for something like $36 for 12 ounces. Penny candy for more than a penny. Doesn’t come with the dust, either.

Found it. Read through a few - there are missteps in the first fifteen or so but after that it's pretty much on track. And here is the kind of thing you will learn: My first visit to eBay was on December 22, 1997. Scroll all the way down to get to column one, which began on September 22.

Good Afternoon - I don't "get" the Ben Bagley thing. Are they cabaret things? Anyway - I'm off to teach a guitar lesson. When I get home, I'm going to put the boxes I've packed into the car because they are going somewhere else and not the new place. I figured that out last night when I was running out of space to put things. If it's not going to the new place, get it out of the apartment ASAP!
