We need photographic evidence of the thing on the roof!

The Thing on the Roof, by H.P. Lovecraft

Or Cole Porter's You Got That Thing (on the Roof).

Five tons of metal dangling over the house on Friday the 13th. What could go wrong?

I had a chicken breast from California Chicken Cafe with a side of chicken pasta salad.  Since the breast is under 200 calories, I'm in good shape.

Topic of the Day:  I recorded One Man Two Guvnors on PBS last week.  That's on my DVR to watch.  Last night, I recorded a documentary on HBO for my sister called Transhood, about children who are transgender.  I'm now recording it to my DVD burner to make a DVD of the program.

Darn I forgot that was on.... May I impose on your good nature once again, George?

I've started a new list.  I still have DVDs for other DRs, so I'll get off my keester and send those out, too...finally.

I am still trying to figure out why DR LAURA has a USB on her thermostat.

Maybe she found out today.

I'm sorry about your employee, DR John G.  We are a small team of 10. We lost 2 to other departments in March, and due to COVID and, now, working from home, we haven't been able to replace them yet.

Sorry about that.

Oh....the internet tells me that the USB port is used to recharge the thermostat battery......

Interesting and thanks.

Once again Costco was out of paper towels.  Thing is, we prefer the Kirkland towels to Bounty which I believe we can buy at the market.  We will find out this afternoon.

I have and prefer the Kirkland towels, too...and their toilet paper.

I haven't had the courage to try the TP.

I got some Cottonelle (sp?) TP at Costco the last time and I found that the rolls are shorter (width-wise) than the standard TP size.  What's that all about?? :o

I like Charmin Ultra Soft.  During the last shortage Keith picked up some Charmin something, and to my surprise they were also shorter.

The usb port is for the tech to diagnose for repairs in the future.

The thermostat is hard-wired to the unit on the roof.

Nothing for you to do with it which sounds nice and easy ;)

Thank you DR Jrand.  The otter is enjoying a recent addition to the pond, a log that seems to be very popular with the wildlife.

Thank you to DRs Laura, George, ChasSmith, JRand, and KevinH for the birthday wishes for Richard.

It’s been a quiet day, but he did receive a phone call from his brother and a video call from his granddaughter.  She was holding a sign that said, “Happy Birthday, Grandpa!”
