It is nice out today, 55 and windy but not too windy.  The last of the autumn leaves are beautiful.  Best of all, no rain.

Awhile back Bryan purchased a high-def camera for his tv making video chatting much friendlier.  It feels more like we are visiting in their living room.  Best of all, Freyja and see and respond to a better.  Today we had an extra nice chat.

I think the Merchant-Ivory MAURICE and ROOM WITH A VIEW hold up quite well.

How does it hold up?

Still beautiful!  Ending kind of rushed and not believable, however.

I did a huge weeding of my iTunes over a month ago, and now I'm finding I went way too far.  The sad thing is that no matter how much digging I do on external hard drives, I am npot finding things that should be in the stored music.

I don't think it's any more believable in the novel.

That's nice, DR Jane. For a while when I was growing up in Los Angeles, with my grandparents on the East Coast, we exchanged reel-to-reel tapes in the mail, back and forth.

Nice that technology has made such things even more enjoyable.  Still no real substitute for in-person, though.

I don't mind saying I'm worn the hell out.

Nathan and I just spent the entire day continuing the garage cleanup we started last weekend. It's getting there. This week and next weekend will see it finished for this year, and it will be more usable than it's ever been.

How great to see FLOOR for the first time in several years.

What a great idea.  That would have been nice when our children were young.  Every day I am grateful for instant photos and videos, and most of all video chats.

It doesn't help though, and I expect DR Ginny can relate to this, the high numbers in Illinois are very scary.   Bryan's hospital no longer provides masks that fit him.  He has his own and can get more but I fear there will be a shortage again.  While the number of cases at his hospital have been fairly low they now have trouble finding beds.

All the people complaining about wearing masks & refuse to wear them should try wearing an N95 during an entire shift  >:(

A Room with a View is one of my all-time favorites.

I really should have gotten a haircut several weeks ago.  Now I am not sure I can get one.  Salons are still open at a reduced capacity.  My hairdresser just might be overbooked.

No haircut in nine or ten months. And I don’t see myself having one before my trip to Louisville.

I think I've lost it completely as some of my afternoon "packing" music is the 1986 Cast Album of "Sweet Charity" with Debbie Allen.  I despise "Sweet Charity"!!!

DR John G. is growing out his locks to participate in a modern re-telling of "The Gift of the Magi."
