I started both The Midnight Library and the new Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence, today. Both intriguing. i wonder which one I'll finish first.

And I am sure very different.  My ETA at my libraries for the Connelly book is 2-3 weeks. I really don't see how you can read these two books at the same time.

Library is shorter. But that isn't always a draw.

I am guessing Connelly's book is more suspenseful making it more urgent to finish.

On the other hand not sticking with the Library could interrupt the flow of the story ;)

I figured why not use that, so I made up 1 cup, which I folded into the soup. The flavor was wonderful.

It sounds better than pasta to me.

Well, the couscous drank up every last drop of broth in it. I had to add more liquid from the garbanzos, which I thankfully had set aside.

:))   Just like the first time I cooked using barley. :))

For some reason, they had celeriac in tonight. They didn't have that earlier this week. So I grabbed one to try a soup that Jane would hate.

I wouldn't taste it to find out if I hated it ;)

Again, not for Jane.

Growing up the only place I saw hazelnuts was in mixed nuts and sometimes whole inside of a fancy chocolate.

But first I have to make potato salad for a socially distanced birthday party.

That sounds better, if it isn't spicy.

Broadway World - Seattle is doing their annual awards voting online.  Since there was a scant amount of theater this year, they are doing their awards for the decade!

The Tacoma LittleTheatre production of A CHORUS LINE has been nominated for Best Musical of the Decade - Non-Equity.  The show had just opened to almost unanimous praise when it was forced to close because of the pandemic.

I was blown away.  Most of the nominees in the different categories were only one or two years old.
