BK, that Pearls of Cleopatra, one of several Strauis operettas I do not know, looks interesting, but I hate productions that send the cast prancing through the audience.  I think you might like The Chocolate Soldier or Der Tapfere Soldat, Oscar Straus' adaptation of Shaw's comedy Arms and the Man.

Thank you!

Don’t we have Gower Champion and Carnival! to thank for that in modern times? And can you imagine the Met ever doing that?

DR JANE the governor was talking about the hospitals.....those seem to be in the northern part of Indiana not in the Middle of the Middle where I live......

Yes, hospital beds.  I am glad it is in only one area of Indiana.

Wonder of wonder miracle of miracles......the dividend arrived today.....and it was more than expected.

I put the teeth money in the checking account and the bulk of it in the savings account......so we shall see what we shall see.  I don't want to have the appointment until after Dec 16 when we have  our Christmas meeting.....so I will go next week to set that up.

My mouth will be happy.

Yay for extra money.  Vibes all goes well with the dental work.

Yes, I was worried about Pearls with the audience stuff at the top, but in the thirty minutes I saw that followed, that never happened again.  Mostly, I liked the fun of the staging and that everyone was having fun.

I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.  Will be doing fixes on yesterday's chart at one, and sent the final two.

Haven't heard about picking up the shot yet, but I'm pretty sure it will happen as planned tomorrow at two-thirty.

Good Afternoon

Nothing new to report - although we did have a first grade cohort exposed to COVID so the teacher and the cohort are away for 2 weeks, which brings them up to Christmas Break.  The reading teacher is out again - as she was out with the last cohort that was exposed (different grade) so I feel bad for her.

That's all I got for now.

I usher tonight for Jaston Williams’ new show, Blood and Holly: Christmas West of the Pecos. I need some laughs.

A walk this morning helped my mood which was very low.  It was very hard reading the news that only 13% of health workers in Illinois will be vaccinated once it is available.

We are back with the Griswold family Christmas tree. It's in its stand, "resting" in the garage overnight.

I had trouble sleeping last night; when I woke up, it was just in time to log in for work, so I missed catching up on last night's posts and today's notes until just now, after work.

bk, are you aware of this Barber box set?  It is 8 discs, and seems to have multiple renditions of a lot of the big pieces.
