My nephew and his wife just had their new son.....at 10:30 this morning.....Grayson Wayne.......

Congratulations, DR JRand, on the birth of your great-nephew!  He was born on the 13th birthday of our GN Timothy and we just made a porch drop-off for him and his siblings.  Sister Rachel turns 8 on Thursday and older brother Nathan turns 16 next Sunday.  December birthdays are the best!

Jane, Joy tells me her husband is in stable condition.

I am glad to hear this.  My FB friend who's 91 year old mother recovered now has her mother in-law with covid.  They both are in different nursing homes in different states.  The mother in-law had gastric symptoms which she hadn't connected to covid.  Everyone was tested after a couple of employees tested positive.

Since there will be a shortage of vaccines I think if just the employees are of care facilities are vaccinated then the residents will stop getting it.

In this past week, two of my friends lost their mothers to Covid-19.  They were both in their 90s and in assisted living facilities.

A neighbor came over today to tell me that I had a water leak. I thought he was the one with the leak. So, I now have to make an appointment with a plumber to come over and see what they can do for me. Ugh. This might delay my trip to Louisville, but hopefully by no more than a day or two.

I ushered for a local dance studio's Christmas show. All of the kids were wearing masks, at least most of the time. And the dancing was good. Some of the little girls were too tiny, but they were up there shaking it.

The owner of the dance studio also featured solos from friends and acquaintances. My favorite was the singer who sang O, Holy Night and followed it up with Creole Lady Marmelade, a song I find appropriate for a show with 5-year-olds shaking it up.

The show started late and ran long. The theater isn't doing intermissions now and nothing is supposed to last more than 80 minutes. This was 2.5 hours long and did have an intermission. It was private event, but they still had guidelines they were supposed to follow -- and didn't.
