I was sorry to see that Ann Reinking has died. Pixie, the neighbor below me, was her dresser on Goodtime Charlie, and I knew her slightly. In 2000, the Williamstown Theatre Festival present two different evenings of Noel Coward's Tonight At 8:30, one evening directed by Michael Grief, featuring Blythe Danner and Steven Collins, and the other directed by Ann, with Bill Irwin. I was the orchestrator. Ann was very friendly and easy to work with. Michael Grief was neither.

Thank you, BK, for -- believe it or not -- a reminder that today IS, in fact, the day.

Because due to everyone's schedule this week, we're celebrating my birthday here at the house on Thursday evening, which is mighty fine by me, since I'll be only -- AHEM--cough cough -- years of age for an additional two days. Wasn't that a smart thing to do?
