I saw Ewing do Carmen at the Met around 1986. I don’t remember if that was a Sir Peter Hall production, but as soon as I get up off my lazy ass I’ll have a look. I do know the telecast and video of that production starred someone else.

No, not Peter Hall, and Agnes Baltsa is the Carmen. The video is 1988 but I’m nearly positive it’s the production I saw Ewing in two years prior.

I knew Ewing as a student in school and might have accompanied a few of her voice lessons with Steber. I need to dig through some programs to see what she sang with us. I know I have her singing Geschwitz on a private recording of the Lulu Suite in which I’m playing piano in the orchestra.

DR TCB my current machine has a 40" diagonal screen.....I am going to a 50" diagonal screen or MAYBE 55"  -  we shall see what's on sale.

Eventually I'm going to be able to watch ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN and she will be life size!

Speaking of Opry, I saw a few minutes of Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors last night. That was all I could stomach.

DR Jrand70, you need to transition to having a projector and a 50-foot-high screen in your back yard. Actually, make it your front yard. Yes, I believe that could increase your popularity in the neighborhood.

Good Morning.  2 1/2 days of school today.  Both ending with a 15 minute sing-a-long in the parking lot of Christmas Carols requested by the pastor - that I have to lead.  I tried to get out of it.  So, I have the accordion here, I hope I remember how to play it - or at least fake my way through.

Well......the 55" TCL was $20 less than the Vizio 50"......so I bought the TCL.....looks nice so far.

Took about 30 minutes to set it all up, but it is going along like gangbusters.

I also bought the 3-year plan and just spent the additional $20.....
