Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

As I'm making more bread. I'm listening to musicals that have a Holiday reference.  Besides Annie and Here's Love - what others are there?  And yes, I've recently listened to both A Broadway Christmas and a Hollywood Christmas!

I hate beer but like beer bread and beer batter.  I was thinking light wouldn't have the same amount of flavor.  I never thought about the yeast.

I don't like beer either, but I also like beer bread and beer batter.  I think it was Applebee's that for a while had breadsticks with a beer cheese...or something like that...to dip the breadsticks in.  It was really good. :)

Beer cheese also sounds good.

And the Broadway cast recording of Meet Me in St. Louis which thank goodness is not the representation of what the show has become and what is rented!  Still one of my favorite shows.

Funny that Druxy's play is at the Don Bluth theater  - apparently at Druxy's age he doesn't have a clew as to why he should know that name.

For our honeymoon we drove to San Francisco.  My sister was living in Berkley at the time so we spent a few hours visiting her.  She gave us a wedding present which we left in the car along with a coat I was partial to.  In the morning both items had been stolen.

All of these great thievery stories, and I forgot to tell about the time I was actually robbed; i.e., held up at knife point.

Cleveland, around 1971. My part-time job was driving a cab, which most of the time was quite enjoyable. Long story short, one night I was "hailed" at a downtown taxi stand and directed to a neighborhood that none of us ever voluntarily went into except maybe in broad daylight. The situation became crystal clear when I felt the blunt side of a cold blade held at the back of my neck. In the middle of a block with few streetlights, I was asked for the key which was tossed out in front of the cab. It was explained to me that I'd been good and wasn't going to get hurt as long as I waited five minutes after the gentleman departed, then I could get the key to the cab and continue on my way.

The police were involved, and my experience turned out to be much like other drivers had described, before and after. I heard they caught the guy some months later, but who knows.

I also asked my dentist if I would able to sing when all the work was completed and he said yes.

This will be good news to all of the Music/Vocal Directors at PCPH....and I look forward to auditioning for leading roles when the PANdemic is over.

Had tuna for food, then picked up some packages, and am back home and listening to music.  I won't look at project two until later this evening.  Just not in the mood right now.

That is very scary.  I am glad you weren't hurt.

Cleveland, the city where Bryan was mugged.  When I saw photos of what he looked like afterwards, I didn't recognize him.

Rebecca and I discovered today that car coffee doesn’t work very well in a downpour.  We visited a bit, she opened her birthday presents, and we exchanged Christmas packages to be opened Friday.

Well, the Time Warner man told me I was set and left my apartment around 3:00. Five minutes later, I found I had no telephone, no Wi-Fi, and no internet.  A second service man showed up about 20 minutes ago after I made three phone calls, and the problem was in putting the computer table back, the router got unplugged. What the fat hell do I know?

Everything now works.

...and I’ve had a kitchen fail this evening.  I’ve used a shortbread cookie recipe for cut-outs that I got from my grad school roommate 48 years ago.  It requires a lot of hand kneading and tonight I tried using the dough hook on my new KitchenAid mixer.  The dough got way too crumbly, so tomorrow I’ll try again the old way.

I pressed the crumbly dough into a shallow pan and baked it as a sheet.  We’ll taste it soon and let you know.

I am sorry but I laughed.  I would think not.  At least you did the basics.  Will you do a quick video chat while opening your gifts?

Did you use the bread dough beater or regular beaters?  The crumbly dough might have worked well as a pie crust.  I have a cookie crust recipe that gets pressed into the pie pan like that.

DR ChasSmith, Richard just discovered a similar email glitch, but with messages that were sent to his Road Runner address and forwarded to Gmail.  He just received 90+ messages dating back to December 14.
