It was found a few days later  in a wooded area by some road  worker that went into the woods to relieve himself

She was taking an art class at college and had all her art supplies ($300 worth just purchased the week before) stolen, along with her portfolio.

She had them in a tool box on the back seat so I suspect the thief was disappointed to find paint , brushes and pastel crayons instead of pricy tools

The sight of the “Christmas star” was neat.

I am glad you enjoyed it.

I wasn’t able to see the Christmas star, it was far too overcast

It has been pouring here.

Listening to the oddest Sibelius second I've ever heard, Thomas Schippers conducting.  I don't know if this was recorded during an LSD trip but it's pretty wacky.  The opening is so slow and ponderous, rather like Godzilla, and then the second movement's opening is on speed.  The recording itself is a bit dry, surprising for Columbia and the NY Phil.  Well, it's keeping me entertained.

Listening to Threepenny Opera, Decca with Mauceri conducting.  I must say, Mauceri has wonderful taste in music - can't be faulted - and occasionally he's made a decent album.  But he clearly knows nothing about sound and every album I've heard from him is recorded distantly and mastered too low.  I have never heard so lifeless a version of Threepenny in my life and you hear it from note one of the overture, which is funereal in pace.  Ute Hagen is fine and so are the most of the other singers.  But this requires energy and it also requires that the band be, I don't know, present?

Yikes! :o

I had some Gelson's snacks - a little stuffing and a little string bean casserole, then I had the rest of yesterday's Hormel chili - all in all about 1200 calories, I should think.

Tonight I watched and recorded to my computer what I hope is the last Hallmark Christmas movie that my niece wanted me to record. ::)

This was one of several Hallmark movies that were all based in the same fictitious town of Evergreen, Vermont, and featured characters from other movies as cameos.

Now, I'm converting the chunks (because recording the whole movie as one file doesn't seem to work) and then I'll combine them into one complete file.

As I'm making more bread. I'm listening to musicals that have a Holiday reference.  Besides Annie and Here's Love - what others are there?  And yes, I've recently listened to both A Broadway Christmas and a Hollywood Christmas!

I also asked my dentist if I would able to sing when all the work was completed and he said yes.*

This will be good news to all of the Music/Vocal Directors at PCPH....and I look forward to auditioning for leading roles when the PANdemic is over.

I never thought about that.  Thank goodness he said yes.

*That was his little joke that he could never sing before.

Oh, Ginny! I'm so glad your shortbread was a fail. I read that as you had "a kitchen fall." I am so relieved.

That was what I read, too.

Well, the celebration has started early. I cut one of the black radishes early and made a loaf of radish bread.

I don’t think I have ever heard of a black radish or radish bread.

Not being a fan of radishes in general, I hadn't either.
