We've got a fireplace pulled up on the television.

My sister had a fireplace on her TV too, and mellow Christmas music played on a guitar was playing.

I went to my sister's today and we had sandwiches and chips and eggnog and diet Pepsi and cookies and other assorted foodstuffs.

It was all quite delish and I (of course) ate too much. ;)

My sister and her husband gave us a fantastic present...

A sober Christmas Day.

I came home and actually have been working because I need to get some things done before Monday.  I'll actually go in tomorrow because it's the end of the fiscal year and it all MUST be done.

Happily, the motor car started right up and I took a nice drive - the Havertys said they had way too much food, so I guess today I'll polish off the rest of the tuna pasta salad, but that's a good thing since I didn't see a single restaurant open, other than McDonald's, which, of course, had a line of cars.  Ralph's was open and the parking lot looked full - is that really how people spend Christmas Day.  But the streets were pretty empty.

After I left my sister's, I drove through Tumwater on my way home and the only places that I noticed were open were a couple of gas stations and the local Panda Express.

That looks like fun!  I'll have to watch it later.
