Well, you've read the notes, the notes dropped everyone a Christmas line, and now it is time for you to post until the Christmas cows come home.

My present to myself was the Glenn Gould: Complete Bach Goldberg Variations recording session, which includes every scrap of music recorded over the 4-day session. The massive accompanying book includes the complete score to follow along with, amongst other things.

I believe today shall include naps, eating, watching, and listening. Not necessarily in that order.

One of the things I'm looking forward to watching is the Blu Ray of the Glyndebourne production of Samuel Barber's opera Vanessa.

Christmas morning greetings!  We’re expecting a video call from Charlotte and her parents this morning, during which we’re planning to open stocking presents together.  We’ll see how much patience she has for our family’s round-robin tradition.

It's raining outside and the temperature is 54 degrees F! It was so warm in the apartment that I slept under a sheet, and I slept quite poorly.  When the alarm rang at 5:50, I went back to bed, hoping to sleep for another hour, but it was no use.

As soon as kitty cleanup is finished and the bed is made, I will open all of my accumulated Christmas cards and redeem an Amazon gift card. After that I have absolutely no plans.

Merry Christmas!

My niece Jadyn called at 7:45am to tell me about her Xmas gifts.

The weather here today is supposed to very mild. It snowed a few days ago. But it has rained all night and is supposed to rain all day. So it has all melted (which i don't mind at all). I think that right now it is 54F. Is that crazy.

That IS crazy, DR Jennifer!

We are still below zero here, but it is supposed to warm up to a high of 19 today.

DR Jennifer, it is crazy, and it's the same temperature in Mew York.  We have a rainy day and it's very dark outside.  I am very happy I do not have to step out today.

It appears that I have picked up a cold, which began showing symptoms last night. It's alarming, because with all the precautions I have taken, a virus has gotten through.

So it's a good thing we had no plans with family today.

Maybe I'll wear a new shirt for Christmas. I raided the J.Crew Factory 70% off clearance sale recently.

T.O.D.

Last night we recorded BEYOND TOMORROW, which I haven't seen in 40+ years.

Charles Winninger (the original "Capt'n Andy" in SHOWBOAT) was in it.

I knew him when he came to Seattle in the 1950s to do a play (LIGHTNIN') at the Cirque Playhouse.

He was a nice man, but he didn't get along well with Gene Keane who owned the theater.

Keane did not treat him well.

I know the post office is a mess, thanks to Trump and his lapdog destroying it, but I have received nothing - cards, bills, junk mail - all week. That has me worried.
