Tried watching Radioactive, the story of Madame Curie. It's pretty bad. I've done about eight pages so far. Mostly I've been dealing with project one stuff.

I have never been a fan of chili even before I stopped eating meat. The rare exception was the chili on the hot dogs at Cupid's. Bruce is Cupid's still in Northridge?

I never liked chili. There was a restaurant in Old Town Alexandria that specialized in it, The Hard Times Cafe, I think it was called. DR Kevin probably knows it. They served the chili on spaghetti, one of very few options. I didn't mind it that way, but I wouldn't want it otherwise.

Strangely enough, one of the best bowls of chili I have ever eaten was in London, England. I know, I know. Very weird. Several of us were looking for a place to eat, and we came upon this cafe with a “Western” theme. Cowboys painted on the walls and corny movie western theme burgers and sandwiches.

Anyway, they had Western chili on the menu and it just sounded good. The waiter had probably never had anyone else order it, or was wondering why I was ordering American food.

Everybody else at the table was making fun of me. but when the food came, it was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals, but mine was the best. I have dreamed about the chili on many occasions.

My dear late friend, Jim, used to make a pretty good chili, but until I moved in, he always added hominy to the mix. That stopped right away.
