Today's ultrasound was uneventful. The traffic to Beverly Hills was very light. What a change! The technician told me that three of the staff, out of maybe 10, have been redeployed to Covid. I know that a lot of patients have been putting off medical care due to Covid, so maybe the redeployment isn't as bad as it seems. I'll be glad when we can go back to normal.

Stress can be a funny thing. It's so insidious. I've been well aware of my loathing for Trump, but I'm wondering now if his ugliness and shenanigans have caused many of us more stress than we even realized.

I do hope that the return of normalcy in the White House lets everyone breathe a little easier. We could all use that after four horrible years.

Thanks, Sing, but I know there's a problem and another procedure will be needed. They can't schedule it until the surgeon evaluates today's results. It'll be another outpatient surgery and, though not pleasant, it won't be too major, either. This doctor has his own little OR and his own nurses, so it's much easier than going to a hospital.

Given all the news yesterday, some of you may have missed this:

Melania actually wore FLATS!! That's right. She boarded the plane out of DC in her usual stilettos (and designer suit), but landed in Florida wearing wearing flats and an almost-muumuu. Quite a transformation. Does this mean a new Melania is in the works?

So, my sister is saying that she heard/read paper masks are much more effective against the new coronavirus strains than cloth masks. Anyone else encounter the same?

I saw the muumuu. Ugh and ugly. Like something that even Peggy Lipton wouldn''t have worn on Mod Squad.

Absolutely safer. I would feel very reluctant to go to a hospital right now, but I don't mind this. It's much easier to control a small facility and small staff, and no one enters without the usual Covid safety check.

No, but there is a wide variety of cloth masks, so it may be difficult to compare.

I am glad your day was uneventful. I wonder if the redeployed staff had a choice about that.

I believe it has. For me the hate from both sides has added equally to my stress levels and effected my health.
