It's raining in Austin...

And, I've got to take the garbage out.

Has anyone tried a weighted blanket? Does it really work?

I have often wondered this myself.

Blankets that are heavy hurt my shoulder so I have not tried one.

Good Afternoon.  Frustrating day at church, but it's over now.  I think we all go from being patient with the pandemic to cursing it, today is the latter.  I need to work on patience and lashing out when things aren't going right.

I am sorry, and yes it is difficult to remain patient.

I am curious about this too. I think that I would love it. But not sure.

IT was very sunny this morning. So even though it was -27C with windchill i went for a walk. I lasted 25 minutes. And because I had a shirt, sweater, long johns, cozy legggings with faux fur and a thick scarf wrapped around my head and face I was okay. :)

Of course, when we had a dog, I did. I had no choice.

I have not gone out today due to the constant rain.  I need to get on Keith bike or bundle up.

I tried out the new knives on dinner for later. I made a roasted mushroom soup with coleslaw on the side. I'll have in a little.

Starting the last episode of All Creatures. There’s an image of Tristan dressed as an elf that just made me laugh too heartily.

And rainy and drab.

That is my complaint, not that it is 38 degrees.  I do not care for damp weather.

Is that the Christmas episode?

Yes. It was really a great way to end the season.

But my question is, which is more common in England: Merry Christmas or Happy Christmas. I always thought it was the latter, but I only heard that once in the episode.

Listening to a pianist give a concert. He’s starting with a piece of Mendelssohn. Just lovely.

I could ask my English friends & family.  We haven't been able to watch the episode yet.

Back from seeing project one again - liked it even more with our fixes, so we're locking the picture now, and sound files will get done tomorrow and will go to the sound engineer.

Listening to Benjamin Britten's Death in Venice opera.  So far, strange.

Here's a link to the concert. There are a couple of nice shots of the Tobin, the theater where I usher, as well as scenes of Italy where the pianist, Leonard Colafalice, lives.

Chopin, Morricone, Rachmaninoff and more on the menu.
