Sounds like your dance card is filling up quickly!!  :D
I'm just posting these so everyone else will know about them.  The Cabaret Fest will keep us busy, I think.

Now, where else...

DR Vixmom, since DR Danise is not here, if you want to read any of her past posts just click on her name (you can go to the members list) and click on her last posts (instead of having to go thru everyday's posts).

Well, I suppose I shall mosey on over to the recording studio.  I can't just sit here anymore, it's driving me crazy and right now that is not such a long drive.

And don't forget:

Torah! Torah! Torah!*

*Famous movie about the war between parents and their children who don't want to go to Hebrew school.  (It had several screenings in my house when I was growing up...)

Why choose just one?  Aren't original cast recordings like peanuts and potato chips?  Can't have just one!

Ah, where else...

In Mansura, Louisiana, they're holding the Cochon de Lait Festival from the 6th thru the 8th.  This features a roast suckling pig festival, a hog calling contest, Men's and Ladie's beer drinking contest, and lots more.

In Richmond, Missouri, same dates for the 25th Mushroom Festival, with contests, a crafts fair, etc.

And in Ruskin, Florida, they're holding the Ruskin Tomato and Heritage Festival, on the 7th and 8th.

In Stilton, England, they'll be holding the Stilton Cheese Rolling on the 8th, but their link isn't working so I won't post it.

And if you need to change the thermostat setting for when Guy Haines arrives, this will give you time to do that!

Give him our best!

Does "Hope and Glory" count as a war film?

Isn't that the sitcom with Kelly Ripa???

Well I didn't say I'd just get one.  Although I doubt I will get them all at once.  So far the one I want most is SPELLING BEE.

I think the dolphin bit went on too long

You think!! ;D  Especially after watching commercials and multiple pre-views for movies with the same theme, including a remake of THE BAD NEWS BEARS. ::)

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up!  I'm up!  In fact, I've been up since 9:00, so...

Just finishing up the rest of my packing, sorting and cleaning here at my "old" apartment.  I should have everything in order by tonight - and hopefully, not too later.

I have yet to read the posts since late last night/early this morning, so I shall have to catch up...

All together now..

Laters...

Topic of the Day:

The African Queen
Casablanca
Gone With the Wind
M*A*S*H
South Pacific
Start the Revolution Without Me

I think the dolphin bit went on too long, the John Malcovich character wasn't needed  and therefore that whole sequence could have been cut, the ending was unsatisfatory (and wrong) and I just didn't laugh.  I laughed out loud reading the books.
The ending is wrong?? :o What did they do??

they "put things back the way they were" which is of course both wrong and impossible... I mean there's suspension of disbelief and then there's just dumb...

I'm relieved to learn the ending was changed.  I found the movie ending ridiculous and impossible.  Please email me the true ending or post it with a big spoiler alert.

A complete spoiler for the movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy can be found at a site called, quite logically, The Movie Spoiler.  Handy place for saving money, terrible if you like sitting in the dark with people who never turn their cell phones off.

Jed did you hear from the newspaper yet?  Craig was called to interview for a position as a copy editor on the Bucharest paper.  Unfortunately he can’t begin until July & they need the position filled before then.
