I can't think of anything to say.

I don't have anything in my DVD player or my CD player right now. Just watching Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, performed by the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and soloists, and conducted by Daniel Barenboim. I don't know if it's good as compared to other performances, but it's good to me, and I like it.

And this is pretty cool...The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra is a very special ensemble: It is made up of young Israeli and Arab musicians and is campaigning for a peaceful solution to the Middle East conflict. The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, which was founded in 1999, gives concerts all over the world. Proceeds from the concert in Berlin went to the Barenboim-Said Academy, which supports musical education programs.

DR George, thanks for the MSNBC link about the idiot Republican in Arizona. The Republican party has become such a den of grifters, thieves, whores, and lunatics that I fear they will end up destroying this country. In a way, I'm glad I'm in my 70s and closer to death because it means I may never see the totality of Republican idiocy; I had enough in the past four years.

I'm still waiting for some Britten and Weill CDs to arrive. In the movie department, I've been catching up on a few Hammer horror films I'd acquired over the past year but hadn't watched yet. What got me into the mood for that was the new Warner Archive restoration of The Curse of Frankenstein which was very enjoyable.

I had weird dreams last night that I was on Capitol Hill when it was attacked again. AOC proved to be a superwoman who whipped out a supply of ties, which she used on an armed Rep. Greene, who was whining that she was supposed to win and it wasn’t fair, she was entitled to win. She had to be gagged. AOC also stopped Ted Cruz and hogtied him up. She then was shooting an automatic weapon on a zombie crowd that was heavily armed but unfocused because they were brain dead. Sounds fun, but it was depressing. Because it was happening again.
