Everything OK with that car, DR ChasSmith?  You may have reported on that, but I missed it.

It’s still in the shop waiting for the insurance company to either pay for the repairs or declare it a loss and pay me. It’s 18 years old, and the value is now too close to the cost of a typical repair, so, we’ll see what happens. I wanted to drive this one for another year, but I know it’s very close to replacement time.

I didn't know that imdb had a free streaming component. I was just able to watch the Carol Burnett Show parody of Rebecca:  Rebecky.

Oh, I took today off from work, by the way.     :)

Has anyone here had a good experience with a weighted blanket?

I'm intrigued, but not sure it would work for me because my apartment is already borderline too warm, without the heat turned on.

I am worried about how much I may end up owing the government:

Yep. I’m afraid to even read that right now.

I started my trusty PT CRUISER since the temperature was only 10 degrees early this morning.

I then "threaded the needle" down the snow shoveled drive and went around the block a few times.....and got back into the carport with no major incidents - so much for my winter driving this week.

Both of my tax returns have been "accepted" by the appropriate authorities - so I guess I am safe until next year.

I didn't know - or had forgotten - that Herman Cain sang.

Shouldn’t that number be 999-9999?

And the word of the day is: ANODYNE!

If there were such a thing as an inoffensive gun-toter, they would be an ammodyne.

I knew that the federal tax was being withheld from my unemployment benefits, but I couldn't remember about state. I checked the 1099G and it was indeed, I'm happy to say. So it may not have been enough, but a good part of mine should be covered. But I'm not doing my taxes yet, so it'll be a while before the jury returns a verdict on the whole damned thing.

Good Morning - a very drizzly Friday morning.  My day began dancing with the Kindergarten for music class because we can't sing inside and it was drizzly.  We had a great time.  We chickened, and macarena'd and we watched Liza on the Muppet Show singing "Everything's Coming Up Roses", it was so fun!

DR JANE I like the larger flashlights, too.  But they are indeed difficult to find......at a reasonable cost.

I have several Dollar Tree LED small flashlights around the house that come in handy.

Next time I am at a Dollar Tree I will look at their flashlights.  I have numerous ones but am partial to the particular style because they are soft to hold.

Yes, the larger ones look a bit expensive.  We really do need at least one in case of an emergency.

DR TCB I hope you have not had another scary breathing episode.  After having almost choked to death on a tomato, a few years back, I have some inkling into what this must feel like.  I can be careful not to let it happen again.

I think she's going to sing "Indian Love Call" by the end of the episode, if I remember correctly.

Did your sister drive to WalMart for your vaccinations?
