Lucy is trying to get in Ricky's act.

I have never heard of this scenario before.       8)

I went to the market at lunch. Found some cartons of stock, a few bottles of Perrier and kombucha. They were out of about everything else.

Oh, they did have ice cream.

DR elmore3003 - alas, just like 45, these POSs never seem to suffer any consequences for anything they do.

We must continue to hope to give way to despair or apathy,

There's ALWAYS hope!! ;D

Whew! It got up to 18 today; the first time it's been warm enough to get out for a walk in 2 weeks. It felt good to get out.

Everything OK with that car, DR ChasSmith?  You may have reported on that, but I missed it.

It’s still in the shop waiting for the insurance company to either pay for the repairs or declare it a loss and pay me. It’s 18 years old, and the value is now too close to the cost of a typical repair, so, we’ll see what happens. I wanted to drive this one for another year, but I know it’s very close to replacement time.

Good luck, ChasSmith!  My car will be 23 years old in June (still runs fairly well), and my mortgage should be paid off at the end of this year, so I hope to continue to drive my car until well after the mortgage is paid off, and then look a new/another car. :)

The ACC hasn't murdered little Finckel yet and I hear he's got an adopter interested, but yesterday the damned asses at the ACC went ahead and murdered Max even though there were a potential adopter and foster interested in saving him.  I don't know how these bastards running the ACC sleep at night.

They really should change the name from New York City Animal Care Center to Animal Concentration Camp

I've been helping my friend Andrew Weprin and his group with a bill to make the New York State shelters all no-kill shelters.  There was a New York State Representative who claimed she would support us and all she did for over two years was jerk us around.  Mayor deBlasio has been no help at all and his crony Risa Weinstock, who's in charge of the NYC ACC, is murdering bitch.

Ate, or tried to eat, the salmon thing but it was not so good so instead I ordered three slices of pepperoni pizza and ate that. Excellent.

Now playing, Massenet's Cendrillon, starring Frederica von Stade and Nicolai Gedda, conducted by Julius Rudel - very enjoyable so far.

If anyone is interested, OperaVision on YouTube has just released the 2021 Grand Théâtre de Genève production of Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande.  It'll be available for the next six months.  I don't know if it's a good production, but of the little that I've seen, I think the performers are good. :)

Back to The Browning Version. Michael Redgrave is amazing. You can understand every complaint that's been lodged against him and yet see the reason he holds to his principles, how they are just a part of who he is.

Rephighi's cantata Laud to the Nativity (Lauda per la Natività del Signore) is lovely.
