Tonight, we are attending a surprise online birthday celebration for Daniel, who was paired with the first lab we raised for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I believe he is on his 3rd dog since Yeager.

That is me on the left and the DH on the right; Daniel and Yeager the dog in the foreground.  This was their graduation day.

Listening to a weird children's opera by Hans Werner Henze - not a fan of his music, but heard a bit on YouTube and it seemed tuneful. And some of it is and some of it isn't - it's very strange, kind of Carl Orff meets Kurt Weill and both take LSD.

The eggs benedict weren't as good as usual and very little Hollandaise.

I just saw an article online about that opera, bk.  Can't remember where, though.

Or maybe it wasn't that one. The author was marveling at the idea of a twelve tone opera for children.

The Ingmar Bergman Criterion box looks pretty swell, too.

TOD: Why hasn't MGM ever done a definitive box set of all their classic musicals?

Similar to what DR Laura was saying I might be able to get a covid vaccine when they open up appointments for my mom. As of now people that are 80 and older can get appointments and bring a person with them.  So if the same rules apply to the next age group (and if they let any age person accompany them) then I should be good. I guess I will find out in the next few weeks.

I was able to make an appointment for an older neighbor. So now I know exactly what to do (it's very similar to how I registered for my flu shot). I was able to do it in about 3 minutes.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why the internet was invented.

Does your neighbor need you to drive her to get vaccinated?

Good luck doing this for your mother and getting vaccinated when you take her.

Our daughter in-law's mother in NY has not been able to get an appointment.  Fortunately you risk have catching covid are low do to staying isolated.  I expect she too would like to meet her granddaughter.
