As the four of us maskless adults were talking on the path I confirmed we had all been vaccinated.  Yes, we were and all two weeks past the second shot :)

Just secured our tickets for the immersive Van Gogh exhibit, which is coming to Minneapolis in Aug/Sep. Hoping all the COVID variants will be under control by then.

Cool.

JohnG beat me to the punch. We're only $200 away from crossing the 9,000 line. I think if we can get up to 10,000 the commentaries are a certainty.

Tonight’s a night for Bellini. I’ve never seen or heard Norma. The music so far is melodic in the extreme.

But can I last for three hours?

I suspect bk would agree with this commentary vis a vis the modern rote rules of screenwriting.

Watched a ballet of 1984. Did a quick Gelson's run.

The catfish was pretty excellent - actually all of it was. Glad I didn't get the Po' Boy - didn't need all that bread.

Put up two more vocal scores - Oklahoma and Wonderful Town, and before I could get here to mention it, someone grabbed them. Go know.

Listening to a great CD, which is a big surprise to me - John McGlinn and Kurt Weill on Broadway with some great singers. I've never loved McGlinn's productions on CD, but this one sounds really good and there's a LOT of Firebrand of Florence.

Thinking about what the last few perks will be, so the question is, anyone here interested in first edition hardcover musicals? I have many and some quite rare, but not as rare as the one that's up, Bye Bye Birdie.

That donut cake looks really good...as does the cook in the video. ;)

Loved the Bellini. Didn't always fit the bloody story. But it was beautiful and easy on the ear.

I would live to bake this.  I won't because I would be the only one eating it.

Arm soreness is now about the same as the first shot. Keep sending excellent vibes and xylophones for no side effects - so far they're working.
