Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke up and had a savage breast, and now it is time for you to post until the speaking up cows come home.

About the shooting that Tom mentioned last night, I found this article on CNN:

There is no earthly reason for any civilian to own an automatic or semi-automatic weapon, in my opinion.

But these mass tragedies will continue and accelerate because there is not the political will to do what must be done.

BK, the title of Anouiih's 1951 play is Colombe, and the same title was used for its 1951 London production, translated by Dennis Cannan and starring Joyce Redman in the title role.  It was titled Mademoiselle Colombe in its 1954 American translation by Louis Kronenberger starring Julie Harris and Michael Valenti's musical version starring Tammy Grimes.

Julie Harris's next Broadway play was Anouilh's play L'Alouette, translated as The Lark in an adaptation by Lillian Hellman. The play had already been produced in London with Dorothy Tutin in a more literal translation by Christopher Fry.

DR vixmom, last night I was watching the battle between the Ohio gorilla Jim Jordan and Dr Fauci, and I wonder if your charming client yesterday may be a Jordan relative.

TOD

This week I dipped into a couple of Australian films I'd been hankering to see for the first time in a couple of decades:  Nicholas Roeg's Walkabout and Peter Weir's The Last Wave. Such solid atmosphere in both, and I'd like to follow those up with more, but I think all I have here is Picnic at Hanging Rock. I'll watch that for diversion, then see what else I can find. I remember going to Phillip Noyce's Rabbit-Proof Fence and liking it enough, so I'll have to see what's available on that.

Why is it I can sit at the computer just wasting time and the cats ignore me, but as soon as I try to take care of business, like learning how to transfer funds online from one bank to another, both Annabelle and Thatch immediately display undying affection and a need to be held or a serious urge to help me with my learning?

I've experienced that, and I believe they sense a difference in your concentration or a heightened sense of activity, and that attracts them.

Also, in my experience, nothing attracts their interest more than when I'm involved in searching through stuff, or cleaning out or organizing things.

Well that FED EX center is where my nephew met his idiot bitch of a wife - they were working together.  She is 19 years OLDER than he is and completely out of her mind.

She alienated him from his family and none of us - his parents and sisters included - are welcome to talk to him or see him....and they are not on social media that we can see.

He got another job a year ago.....but quit.....details are boring....  She claims she has numerous diseases....including fibro myalgia, myolema, bi-polar, etc etc etc.

We think after he quit his job he went back to FedEx.....but we don't know.  So we wait.....
