I think I've been on the phone for almost two hours trying to sort through stuff and the new storage facility's ineptitude. I think we've got it figured out now.

I had my first covid shot today. The finally lowered the age to 45 (it was 55). I'm feeling a bit fatigued and headachy. But those were listed as the symptoms for 50% of the people. But I'm otherwise fine. And very happy to have finally become eligible.

DR JOHN G I also love THE AWFUL TRUTH......I even can watch the remake LET'S DO IT AGAIN with Ray Milland and Jane Wyman - but mostly because of Aldo Ray in the Ralph Bellamy role.

And I love Cecil Cunningham as Irene Dunne's aunt:

"You forgot to touch second."
"Your toast is burning."
"Here's your diploma."

AND the dog!

We watched THE AWFUL TRUTH for the first time tonight and enjoyed it. It has both a cat AND a dog!

On top of that my nose is dented & raw from the nose guards.  Monday I will see if I can have them replaced with something more comfortable.

I am, quite thankfully, done with this day. The warehouse move is rescheduled for Wednesday and until that's done I won't be able to breath easy, but hoping it's not a crazy ordeal.

I'm still getting used to the nose guards on my new glasses. If I put on the sunglasses, they're so comfortable, I forget they're on. I had to go back to the car tonight after I checked in at the theater because I forgot I was wearing the sunglasses.

That's good news, though I will miss Kerry.

I ushered tonight for a concert that I was not prepared for. It was advertised as Doc Watkins with Strings. It said he was playing with the Classical Music Institute Orchestra. There wasn't a program, but it listed Bernstein, Gershwin and Debussy.

I'm thinking classical music. Nope. It was a swinging, Sinatra-style evening with a jazz combo playing in front of a string orchestra that was probably made up of students. Everyone was excellent, and the music was out of this world. He did songs like Nat King Cole's Frim Fram Sauce, Tom Waits' Picture in a Frame, Nat Adderley, some original tunes and yes, works by Bernstein, Gershwin and Debussy.

The shows nowadays are without intermission to prevent socializing. But he played two hours, which is long. But it didn't feel it. And his drummer rocked.

The length of the show, however, meant I wasn't able to get to the supermarket, which closes at 10 p.m. these days.

When I got home, I finished watching all of the extras on The Wages of Fear. It only took a week.

The library only has two other Henri-Georges Clouzot films, Diabolique, which I haven't seen in more than 10 years, and La Verite, which I saw about two years ago. I placed Diabolique on reserve.
