The power is out. Sat in the center of the house with JB when everything went quiet. Thankfully nothing happened here. The rains eventually came back with more thunder. Don’t know what’s what. But we now have flash flood warnings added to everything else.

I made a bacon and cheese omelet and I must say it came out really well save for the fact that I could have used much more cheese - who knew?

I've been watching a Swedish series, THE RESTAURANT, set in Stockholm in 1945. The ad compares it to DOWNTON ABBEY, but A PLACE TO CALL HOME is a better comparison. Very well done, really solid acting, sets, and so on. It's on Amazon Prime Video, but "leaves" on April 30. I suspect it'll still be there, but with ads or $. Right now it's free. Worth watching.

Power finally back on as a new thunderstorm has rolled in.

I scheduled a hair appointment for next week, much needed. I, too, would like a massage, but am still sutured. She could work around that, though. I'd love to have lunch with a friend, but just don't feel comfortable with that yet. I'd love to spend a few days at a spa, but don't want to fly, and my allergies are making food choices very limited. No spas for a while methinks. Too bad I don't like camping. I'm not looking for adventure -- I just want to relax and recharge.

Why not pack up some mindless entertaining books, pack up a cooler with personal food favorites, and check into a nice motel, preferably one with a swimming pool, and enjoy yourself for 24 or 48 hours.
