I like the idea of a revue, and I'd be interested in any of those titles. But I checked with them and they don't want one this time around; just a regular old "show".

This morning Keith told the story on my Facebook page how we were almost on flight 93. He kind of botched some of the details-lol. The only one that I corrected was why we would have returned on that Tuesday had I joined him on his business trip.

I recall how disappointed I was that he said no to my joining him. If I was not hosting book group that Tuesday I would have insisted he take the extra day to visit with friends.

My violinist friend Suzy posted on Facebook a transcription of Todd Beamer's 911 phone call from flight 93 on 9/11. God, how heartbreaking. I also learned today that my animal rescue friend Joan lost her partner, who was her fireman. My heart breaks for her.

I've been reading a way-too-thorough biography of writer Sally Benson, whose Meet Me on St Louis is based on her family. Sally is the youngest, Tootie. She also wrote the libretto for the Broadway show Seventeen, and Oscar Hammerstein's book for The King & I owes more to Benson's screenplay for Anna and the King of Siam than it does to the novel it claims to be based on.

The UK ex-military guy who started the Nowzad Charity to reunite soldiers with their dogs, and recently made it out of Afghanistan with said dogs, plus more, just made a very exciting announcement.

ALL OF HIS STAFF AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE NOW SAFELY OUT OF AFGHANISTAN!

I never thought he could do it.
