Welcome to Jinx.  We've got one gal here who will be very happy with your username because she LOVES all things Plaid.

I'm up, I'm up.  Phone rang at eight.  Hate that, unless it's someone I feel like talking to.

Seems I jumped the gun on Mr. Brockman's birthday, which seems to be tomorrow.  Our calendar doth confuse at times.

I got Light in the Piazza yesterday at Virgin for $14.99 It was the last copy. Footlight was out of it as well and it would have been more there.

The opening number is sumptuous and musically gorgeous! The waves of beautiful music washing over you are quite wonderful.

Ah, for a docent cup of coffee this morning.

As far as that goes, a docent night's sleep would be welcome, too.

Put the cake in the fridge.

I like cake that has been in the fridge!

How I envy all of you with all or part of today off.  We're open regular hours (until 5:30) and all day tomorrow.  Fortunately, it's not my Saturday to work, so I'll have a nice 3-day weekend.  Our plans include attending a combined high school graduation party for 4 of Rob's friends, 3 of whom are DH Richard's former students.  Have to get our standard HS grad gift ready - a picture frame and a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Welcome new DR Jinx!

Media check - CD (car) audio book, Madeline Albright's Madam Secretary.  She's not a sparkling reader, but it's interesting to hear memoirs in the writer's voice.

DVD - ?
VCR - ?

Congratulations on re-activating your SAG membership, MR BK.  You can now take part in the protests of your president signing on to take part in a "reality" tv show!

LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA - I just don't LIKE the pretentious composer, or his attitude, but I love the story, and the reviews of the show, the music, and the performances may just change my mind.  Time will tell.

Okay here is the lost scene FROM LOST that was broadcast on Good Morning America (for DR George and anyone else who wants to know).

It features Charlie and Claire.  And starts with the french woman eating an egg raw.

Charlie (to claire): She (french woman) is nuts.  She tried to blow my head off in the jungle for no reason ...  She says she heard whispers.  Doesn't mean anything.

Claire (to Charlie):  When ethan took me ... however I got away.  I knew they'd be back.

Charlie (to claire): Is that why you didn't name the baby! ...

Not too earth shattering.  But sort of interesting i guess.

I'm off at noon here, as well.  I'm off to Best Buy to buy a friend a birthday gift and to get myself a photo printer.  Adios for now...

Sad news about Bogie.  He was loved.

DR MBarnum:  Your mention of the "late Cal Bolder" came as somewhat of a shock in yesterday's notes.  I didn't know that he had passed away.

Oh, yes DR WFO, you must have been gone from the board at that time. Mr. Bolder was diagnosed with cancer last September and passed away in January. I miss chatting with him...he was such a nice guy and he was so looking forward to attending some of the celebrity and Star Trek conventions that he was beginning to get invites to.

Hopefully Filmfax will be running my interview with him soon.

My weekend looms.

My chore:  Clean my carpet with my new Bissell Widemouth Steam Vac!

My desire:  To see "Revenge of the Sith" and the new Woody Allen film.

My reality:  I'll get some of the carpet cleaned.

For my second Bollywood movie of the weekend, the 1970s hit DISCO DANCER!

I don't know what I am in for, but I do have the CD soundtrack and LOVE it!

Mt. Kisco? Yeah. I also used to work for insane photographer woman who lived in a Holiday Inn there when I first moved to the city. That is a story and a half for another day.
