Well, in choosing things to watch today, I chose one from the shelves which I've already watched on DVD and one from the to-watch shelf that had been there unopened for a time.

I picked ALL ABOUT EVE

and

8 1/2. Got about a half hour into the fascinating 8 1/2 and had to turn it off. I was just overcome with sleep and had to take a 45 minute nap.

I'm enjoying my last day off before we start doing dress rehearsals.

Penny just called.  We had a long conversation and she is doing well.  She says hi to everyone.

TCB & Jed she is planning a trip home in June and wants very much to see your show.  Don’t be surprised if she shows up for a matinee one day.  I just wish I could be there with her.

Hisaka I’m glad your mother is better and hope she stays so.

Danise, Keith makes most of our travel arrangements (lucky me).  I don’t think we have ever booked with a package deal, everything is separate.

It is gray and cool outside today.  A far cry from yesterday, but ah well.  We can't have beautiful weather all the time, now can we?  It's supposed to warm up and get a bit sunnier later on today, so we shall see.  Last night DR Jed and I ventured up to Seattle to enjoy the waterfront, and ending up having a simply delicious meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory.  I highly reccomend the spinach tortellini with alfredo sauce!
Now DR Jed is off with TCB, finding out if Annie does indeed get her gun, and here I sit enjoying some homemade tapioca pudding.  Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It's mostly cloudy and fairly cool here (74) but a very nice day for May. It was hot yesterday.

Gray skies in Oregon as well...you would think it would be nicer for the holidays!

I was not going to watch any movies today as I was movie-ed out from the last two days...but I got bored and am now watching the 1934 Monogram version of JANE EYRE.

Colin Clive is very good in it...Virginia Bruce and little Edith Fellows are doing their best to chew up ever last bit of scenery. Beryl Mercer is a wonderful character actress and can do no wrong....it is a fun movie, and believe it or don't, I have never seen any version of Jane Eyre before this.

Is this a slow news day here at haineshisway.com?  How ever will we reach our new plateau?

DR TOMOVOZ, Thank you for the beautiful birds photo!
And I have a question to you. I heard that in Australia, Manuka Honey is famous as a good medicine for a stomach ulcer. Is that true?  I’ve no idea if I’ve had Manuka so far but would like to try it if your answer is Yes. ( however, I’ve not a stomach ulcer)  :)
I don't like or eat Honey but it often said to be a cure for so many things. Pollen is also very poopular here as a health aid. Such fame has Manuka that I have never heard of it.

The roses are always beautiful - my favourite flowers.

ABC just interviewed Russell Crowe.  Yes, if I want real insight on the Indianapolis 500, Mr. Crowe would certainly be my first choice.
Just remember he is from the land of Hobbits.

A slow day here at HHW, indeed.  I have been to the gym in anticipation of the ice cream indulgence tonight with Jed and TCB.

Tomovoz, I don't know if I've said it, but it's so wonderful to see you back on the site.  I hope all is well with you.

All of the girls who are dancers in this movie are suprisingly GRACELESS.

I had something very magical happen today.  I was working in the living room when I heard a bird squawking in the kitchen window.   I went running because I thought one of the dogs had caught a bird.

Much to my surprise, it was a baby Jay.  He/She was bigger then the one I saw in the back yard a week or so ago.  Anyway, I went out because I thought he/she may not be able to fly and (again) I didn’t want the dogs to get it.

He/She flew to my hand (!) but before I could touch him/her, it was up to the roof of our shed then up to the tree.  I was stunned.   Do you think it is possible that it was the same baby bird I saved the other week coming say “hello”?

Maybe yes and maybe no but I had tears in my eyes at the thought of it.

I deleted the photo program I had loaded and am just doing a test to see if I can up load photos I know I loaded before.

I still want to up load the scans of the Herc picture/story for DR Charles Pogue.  Maybe this will do it.

Ok let's see if one that I up loaded before works.

Warning, I remember I made the next one a bit big so you can read the print.  If it's to big and throws us into widescreen, I will delete it.

And my guess would be it was your bird friend....no other bird would seek out that slight human contact!

Danise your bird story is wonderful.  I’m so happy for you.  My guess it is the same bird.

I also enjoyed the photos.  I will attempt to read the story when I’m off the laptop and using our main computer.

Six-thirty, no one here, and we're on our way directly into the toilet for a new and record low, in addition to not having the paltry twenty or thirty posts we need to achieve our new plateau.  Skammen.

I am here, I am here...so I will post.

I am (still) working on my Tony Russel interview...it is a long one to transcribe from tape..whew! But DR Sandra will enjoy his talking about his adventures in fencing...and almost losing an eye because of Guy Williams swung the sword high, while he parried low! LOL!
