We’re in the middle of trick or treat here and we’ve had about 10 kids so far.

  But there's a nice macaw.

That would be a great title for something-or-other.

I wish we have even one trick or treater.

George & TCB, did you mail your ballots?  We sent ours yesterday.

We hand-delivered our absentee ballots to the drop box at the board of elections Friday evening.

Good idea.  Since we are a vote by mail state we felt comfortable mailing the ballots.  We did drop them in the election box for the Presidential election.

And we're not going to play Phase 10, believe it or not.  We're going to play Scrabble, which is my mom's game.  I've probably only won one or two games ever, so I will NEVER expect to win, which is fine.

Well, we played Phase 10. ::)

Then, my sister and I went to Home Depot to get some dirt, but they didn't have what she needed, so I came home.

Now, I've turned off all the lights at the front of my house, and will just watch TV in the back side of my house.

Today is the season premiere of Doctor Who, so I'll be watching the extended cut of the premiere episode in a little over an hour.

Manhattan School of Music is staging Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld later this year and Sunday in the Park with George in March. I hope both are available online.

Hopefully, they will be.  That would be cool!

I suspect Orpheus, like most foreign operettas in opera situations these days, will do the spoken dialoguie in English and the sung lyrics in French, which I think is a dumb shit idea.

That doesn't make sense. :-\

I'm going to put it in a dropbox.  There's one just a block from my house.

Back to Spirits of the Dead. Alain Delon stars in Louis Malle’s William Wilson, about a soldier with a doppelgänger. Brutal, violent and ugly. But really effective.

I haven’t read the Poe stories these short films are based on, but I will have to correct that.

Terence Stamp in Toby Dammit looks like a blond Poe.

Trick or Treating was lots of fun. Lots of people sitting outside this year. Grandson caught on pretty quickly. I put out the leftover coffee hour treats and almost everything disappeared.
