You have and it is a shame they have taken advantage of you.  I suggest adding the threat of sending a copy of the letter to the Better Business Bureau.

The Better Business Bureau seems to give a good rating as long as you have paid their bill.

The State Registrar of Contractors is where I'll get some action. Maybe.

Good luck getting a response from the Registrar of Contractors.

Four years ago today I attended a cat-kitten adoption event at the 92nd Street & Broadway Petco.  I was looking for a little brother for Annabelle, and  I had two requirements: he had to be younger than she and he had to have some white in his coat. I checked out all the cats in the back of the store and then walked to the front of the store where they were setting up more cages of cats and there he was: Thatch!

He was three months old, orange and white, a little creamsicle of a kitten, and I was smitten.  Cupid's arrow never pierced a heart with more alacrity.  Five days later I brought him home.  Happy Anniversary, Thatch!

That's so sweet!  Happy Gotcha Day Anniversary to Larry and Thatch!!
