And here's the kicker: at 9:15 my ride called to tell me he was here. I told him he was an hour late and I no longer needed him. It really pisses me off.

For the urgent appointments, perhaps it's worth it just paying for a taxi.

As clearly Access-a-Ride is not reliable.

If/when the radiation treatments begin, AAR $5.50 roundtrip a day for 30 days is much preferable than a $40 roundtrip taxi

Monday morning greetings!  The crew is back working on our street.  We think this is the beginning of the end and we'll soon have a nicely paved Poinciana Road.

Very interesting, this Black Tights ballet movie. I never knew about it. I just took a quick look at the YouTube copy. Most unfortunate. Is that gate weave, or did somebody film it off a screen? But never mind that. Who owns it, and what materials exist? What a restoration coup that could be.

A real find. It’s probably sitting in a can next to the cuts from The Magnificent Ambersons.

This was supposed to be a vacation week. It ended up being canceled, for a few reasons.

Not nice.

Did you know....

AccuRadio (free Internet radio, albeit with ads) has one channel SOLELY devoted to different recordings of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You."
I'd rather slit my throat, thank you.

I’m pleased to note that the plagiarism claim is being taken very seriously, and I have actually been thanked for pointing it out and offering a workable solution that won’t have a great impact. They understand that work lies ahead, but they’re willing to address it. You never know with other departments.

No. All I want for Christmas is a Christmas without “All I Want for Christmas.”

The Access-a-Ride arrived at exactly 10:30, and I arrived at the CVS by 10:40. I was boostered as soon as I got there, not at my appointment time of 11:30. I called AccesspapRide to see if I could get an earlier ride back, rather than wait another hour, and they had nothing available, so I cancelled the ride and took a taxi home. I was home by 11:15.

I'm up, I'm up - almost six hours of sleep. Something was wrong with the old tummy last night - not nauseous, just weird tightening or something - rather like food poisoning but I know exactly what I ate and nothing was bad.

I am actually surprised you aren't waiting longer after having covid.  I haven't read anything one way or another and had been wondering if Bryan should get a booster.  How did you base your decision to do this?
