Well, you've read the notes, the notes were listening, and now it is time for you to post until the listening cows come home.

I will hopefully have an Access-a-Ride pickup at 9:00. I have my 3-month checkup, and my doctor and I have much to discuss.

I don't have many plans for today, but I should try to speak to my recording project's benefactor. I have questions.

I love the sound of the OBC Sound of Music. Lieberson really outdid himself with this one and Camelot. The harp is so prominent, and Russell Bennett gave it some delicious solo touches in "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria."

Nice notes.  I also enjoy The Sound of Music OBC.  I first heard it in 1971 or so when I was doing a production - it is most excellent.

A friend of mine who was an acting student at NYU in the 1990's had Liesel aka Lauri Peters as a professor.  All of the students loved her and she was a great teacher, he said.  Her first husband, Jon Voight was never mentioned, as far as I know.

It's been years since I listened to the Sound of Music cast album. Must do so.

And I agree with DR Elmore that the harp writing is wonderful, and an essential presence, in these shows.

I just got back from the car dealership where my car is getting a free recall replacement of one air bag. It'll be there for at least a few hours (or just possibly overnight) so they gave me a loaner - a new Subaru Forester with only 11k miles on it. It's a beautiful machine, but these new things are so damned HUGE.

I also just made, and ate, a 2-egg egg sandwich (with melted cheddar and some bits of red onion sprinkled in) that went down like candy. I might just have another one later.

God in heaven, do I hate this "service" for old coots! There was never a car scheduled for 9:00, even though I have a confirmation for the pickup time.

DR Elmore, this latest Just-Try-to-Access-a-Ride thing is distressing. What's to be done? You have appointments coming up that you don't want to be missing. (Duh.) (Like you didn't know that.)
