Just finished an odd documentary called On Broadway. Great archival footage, but too often they used scenes from a movie to illustrate shows like Kiss Me, Kate or Brigadoon, neither of which had a sterling film.
And the talking heads included a number of dead people, like Hal Prince and August Wilson, as well as people like Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. Yes, they've done Broadway, but I don't consider them to be involved in the New York theater as they are on the British stage.
