The alarm rang at 5:30 and I turned it off and snuggled with our diva Anna.belle for thirty minutes. I had several dreams I do not remember, but just before the alarm rang I was dreaming about Tommy Tune and Twiggy dancing in My One and Only.

I had weird dreams. One was about new lyrics to a song from The Good Companions. Another was about going back to college. A third was about going back to work for a newspaper and volunteering to go to Mexico on a trip being led by my friend Mickey, who no longer had macular degeneration and was driving.

This morning I am going with my cousin Carol to take my Uncle Wayne to a regular doctor's appointment.

And I have to get my sister Paula's key from Carol for her.....I ain't taking her place! I can barely take care of me self.

Years ago a 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund was established for folk whose health may have been affected by toxins in the air after the buildings collapsed. Many of those clearing out the debris later came down with various cancers along with residents living in the area.

So, lately on Facebook a lot of posts have shown up asking if you might be a victim.

I was in London on 9/11 and I did not get back to NYC until Saturday Sept. 22. On Monday, either Sept. 24 or Oct. 1 - I can't remember after 2- years! - I began jury duty, and my walk from subway to court house was through blocks of debris with firemen and police everywhere. I started wondering if my two years of various cancers might be the result of my week around the 9/11 site.

So, I filled out one of the Facebook inquiries, and since then I've had at least three law firms contact me about the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. Yesterday I spoke to one of them. Yes, I might be eligible for the Fund if I can what I say is true about jury duty. Well, my only proof if I could find it would be the pay stub from the New York court. I wasn't on HHW then, and if I were, I might have posted something about going on jury duty, and God knows where my 2001 tax information is now.

Today's the day I wrestle the keyboard and amp etc. out of the Music Room and load it all into the car for the schlep to the theater. It's the first time since we closed Smorgasbord! on Feb. 29, 2020, just two weeks before the world shut down, that these things will have been moved.

Tomorrow morning I have an in-person diabetes check-in appointment with my doctor. They make you meet with them periodically to keep prescribing the medications.

Also, my voice therapy sessions are continuing. I have found that they have made great improvement in my speaking voice being strengthened. My singing voice, not so much.
