Today, I'm going to test drive a Nissan Versa. It's not my first choice of a car, but we'll see what it's like. I kind of don't want it because where I work, they have five or six of them and mine would be another one. I'd like something different...just because.

This morning I must make a trip to my pharmacy for the Percocet prescription for Monday's "procedure." While I'm very happy the cancer treatments have now begun, I am looking forward to the procedure with the same enthusiasm I would have for getting my fingernails torn out with no anesthesia.

Two of the classic opera recordings of all time, along with, perhaps, a couple of Toscanini’s and the Furtwängler Ring Cycle — all of a certain age, and listening experiences like no other.
