Today, everyone is going to my sister's house for a visit.  She and I went shopping at Trader Joe's yesterday for today, and then we put up the tree that she got earlier in the morning.  It's a nicely balanced and shaped real tree that wasn't too heavy.  I just don't remember when she wanted everyone over.  I'll find out soon enough.

This is the day before the final procedure before the actual radiation treatments can begin. This is the procedure that threw the monkey wrench into my healkth insurance over a month ago. I'm happy everything's now cleared up, but I'm still bitter that iy ever happened.

Growing up, I loved Gold's Exodus and Mad World scores, but I'm not sure I was sufficiently aware of the others back then. I will certainly enjoy going back to those other films.

We, too, watched Tick, Tick ...Boom! last night, and I liked it fine. I liked it much better than Rent, which has never really grabbed me.

This material was new to us, and as we watched, we had many questions about Jonathan Larson and the original piece. Then I read this extensive interview with director Lin-Manuel Miranda, which answered literally every one of them and more. Recommended reading, but especially after watching the film so you'll know everything he's referring to:
