This afternoon I saw a local production of Rock Horror Show. We were instructed not to get out of our seats to dance, which was a strange instruction for some people. Most people (me included) didn't know the audience's lines. Only a few people shouted out lines.

Elmore, I would have taken the 9:15, because he wouldn't have showed up until 9:45.

Back from Bible study. They changed it back to Sundays so I could attend.

Rocky Horror is about the participation. That sounds like your production was less than interesting.

In a matter of 30 minutes or so, I've lost all interest in the production.

King's novel was a linear narrative. This miniseries plays with that for no reason whatsoever.

It's faithful enough, but by tell you some outcomes and then flashing back to the setup, the directors and writers are just making things boring. This ain't Homer, and we don't need to begin "in medias res."

Episode four of nine in The Stand and we're still going back to before. Come on, storytellers. You can do better.

And now, it's time to shower and get dresses and go to my sister's for some family fun. :)

Who are the dresses for?   ;)

Spoo!! ::)

EVERY production that I've seen here in Olympia had audience participation...carefully controlled audience participation, but definitely expected and enjoyable audience participation.

We had a whole bunch of little things so that nothing was a huge undertaking...other than the shopping yesterday. ::)

I was the only one on Phase 10, and I was dealt the cards for the phase, so we didn't even have to play out the last round.

It'll be a while before I win again, I'm sure, but that's the nature of cards...you work with the had you're dealt.
